60-year-old Rebecca Winter is a world-renowned photographer, once the darling of the New York artistic community. A decline in sales of her photos, coupled with her mother’s retirement home bills, forces her to rent out her Manhattan apartment.

To simplify life, Rebecca sets up shop in a run-down cabin in the woods, where she reinvigorates her work after a roofer hires her to photograph birds for the Audubon society. Stumbling across a series of unexpected crosses and objects will not only change her desire to create – but the trajectory of her life.

Perfect for:

  • Lovers of charming, eccentric characters.
  • Readers interested in following a photographer’s second coming.
  • Lovers of page-turning fiction featuring a middle-aged protagonist.
