The novel opens with powerful Hollywood studio executive, Greyson Todd, walking out on his family due to his desire to travel the world. As the novel unfolds we are introduced to his disturbed past with a father suffering from mental illness that has – with terrible repercussions – passed down to Greyson.

As he comes to terms with his own bipolar disorder – through meaningless jaunts around the world and different bouts of shock therapy treatment – Greyson explores the consequences of living with an illness that is sometimes only visible – and quite painfully at that – to the sufferer.

Great for:

• Readers interested in bipolar disorder
• Those who are not affected by depressing material
• Anyone who can overlook some gratuitous sex scenes
